Tools & Workflow

A control room for post workflows.

I build tools and workflows that reduce repetitive labor, improve accuracy, and give editors more time to focus on the cut. That includes Avid-to-Premiere reconform, A/V versioning, caption conversion, and MCP-enabled Adobe workflows in After Effects and Premiere.

Cue Sheet Workflow System

Problem

Cue sheets are essential for delivery, but matching timeline audio usage against large music databases is repetitive, manual, and easy to get wrong.

Approach

I built a workflow that reads Premiere XML data, identifies music usage, matches tracks against a reference database, and exports a formatted cue sheet for review.

Result

Less manual cue-sheet labor, better consistency, and a faster path through a painful delivery step.

AV Versioner Prototype

Problem

Trailer teams need a faster way to produce and manage large numbers of AV versions without losing track of naming, structure, or delivery context.

Approach

I’m building a prototype that turns versioning into a clearer system: structured inputs, repeatable outputs, and room for future Adobe-integrated workflow steps.

Result

A cleaner path toward high-volume trailer versioning, with fewer manual steps and a better foundation for future automation.

Media Reconform Tool

Problem

Avid-originated sequences can reach Premiere with incomplete or mismatched media references, turning a reconform into a slow manual relink process.

Approach

I built a working Python prototype that uses the original Premiere XML as a source-path lookup, matches those sources to an Avid-exported timeline, and writes a reconformed XML. It can also read the AAF to carry effects back as timeline markers.

Result

A faster, more reliable reconform path with Premiere-ready XML output and a clear report for anything that still needs review.

Caption Converter

Problem

Subtitle deliverables often need to move from SRT into ITT without depending on Final Cut Pro or a manual export workaround.

Approach

I built a small utility that converts SRT subtitle files into .itt output quickly, with a simpler path for caption prep and delivery.

Result

A lightweight caption tool that makes subtitle encoding easier when the workflow needs to stay fast and self-contained.

AI Fluency

AI is part of the workflow, not the whole identity.

I use AI as a practical creative and technical tool for prototyping, workflow acceleration, research, ideation, automation, and reducing repetitive work. The same approach applies to the Adobe MCP experiments I’m building in After Effects and Premiere.

I care less about novelty and more about usefulness. Does it help the work? Does it make the system cleaner? Does it help a team move faster?

I’m not a software engineer by training. I’m self-taught, curious, and hands-on. I learn by building, testing, breaking things, and figuring out what works. I use the tools available to turn ideas and workflow problems into working prototypes and useful outcomes.

Private work note

Studio, trailer, and current work can be discussed directly. Public case studies are intentionally sanitized to avoid exposing confidential systems, datasets, workflows, or unreleased projects.
